Last week, Swope Ridge had the ~divine~ opportunity to spend some time at the Scott Eicke Warming Center in Bartle Hall, to extend our services to potential residents in need.
Teaming with Divine Konnections, the Swope Ridge team worked to screen for potential residents, get people signed up for Medicaid, held impromptu job interviews, and connected individuals to organizations that can provide the resources they need!
Seeing and understanding the needs of Kansas City’s under-privileged was a humbling and eye opening experience that showed us more reasons why reaching out to our community is so important. Because of this, the Swope Ridge team will be visiting the warming center every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening through March 17th to offer our help to those in need.
Doors to the Warming Center open at 6pm every evening.
